if anyone can help me out with this it would be great. i am the proud owner of a 91 CTD, but i would like to put a leather bench seat in it. i have seen ones from steelhorse and other companies but they are close to 1 thousand dollars. i was wondering if it would be possible to take a leather bench seat out of a 2nd gen, that way i could have the fold down center console, and put it in my truck. does anyone know if this is possible, and if so where would i start to look for a seat. thanks ahead of time for the help.

 

I dont know about later seats, someone asked that a while back and there several postings, you might try the search. FYI, we bought a 93 with an aftermarket seat, Just material with the center console, I see them on line for $700 or so. One factor is the fact that the high back part is curved enough that it places the seat a bit further forward more, if your long legged or tall this is a problem. It also sits a bit higher but not bad. Ive gotten used to it and its comfortable on trips.
