needing advice

I hope to start the swap on my 84 crew cab next month. The donor is a 91 non I/C pickup. What things should I replace or look at when I have the motor out? the motor is bone stock wit a touch over 200K. when I drive the 91 around the yard and up and down the gravel it seems to run good and always starts. I parked it on the driveway and let it run for quite a while to see if it was leaking anything and didn't see any puddles.

I dont really want to mess with the trans because I plan on doing a 47re swap later on.

Rear Main seal.
KDP
The lifter cover(?) gasket. It's tucked in behind the IP and is a pain to do in the truck.

I hope you mean 47RH. The 47RE requires a standalone controller to work with our trucks, and they are pretty spendy.

Sorry bout that. I meant 47rh. I was thinking of a 48re until I called to find out how much a stand alone is. You could darn near build a trans for what they cost. I know I can get a stock rebuild for less than what they cost.
