Looks like its time to get the rags out in more ways than one. The old tranny has done good with 140,000 mi. but it started jumpin out of 1st. some time back and now 5th. need to save some $$$ so I guess I'll do it myself. So if some of you good fellows don't mind sending me a service manual and answering some questions, I sure would appreciate it. My e-mail is dodaddydo@aol.com at least I'll know it done right. If it jumps out of 1st then consider replacing the entire syncro assembly for 1-2. I got My parts from 1800 658 2537. Prices are average but customer service is first grade, they answer any and every question You could have about this trannys. Hope it all goes well. Get Yourself a GOOD bearing puller or a grinder and chissel then get Yourself a H press 6-12ton.

 

Thanks Curtis for sending me the manual, I sure needed that and thanks Ezekiel for the parts info. You guys are a big help. I use to do a lot of this kind of work in my younger days, but its been a while and I've slowed down a little, so i'll let you know how it goes. I would like to find parts made in the good old USA.
