Weld it, grind it and putty. that's the way we've always done ours. I did see where someone used a punch and punched out littel disc's. Then drilled the hole out to just a little bit smaller then the disc and used a bigger bit to radius the edges. Put the disc in and welded it up. Hope that makes since.

i would weld a piece of sheet metal ( a piece slightly bigger than the hole) on the inner side of the fender then mud over on the outside

remember you can fill a hole but you cant cover a mountain. when your doing body work

I'm currenty working on my truck getting it ready for paint. I took the the protective black side trim off and was left with 1/2 " holes in the cab and fenders. I think the best thing is having them welded. I didn't realize how expensive they are to replace w/ factory trim.

Depends if you're trying to save your paint or not. If not, razor blade, all kinds of chemicals, napalm, anything that will work, man...
If you're wanting to save your paint, well I don't know , but I would do tests some where inconspicuous, like under the dash or inside the wheel well.

If it were me I would put a piece of metal on the inside and then fill the hole with weld (carefully as to not get sheet metal to hot) then grind the weld down and bondo overtop.

The best stuff is 3m adheasive remover. Its in a red & white can. It will NOT damage paint, but will remove wax, tar, and all that hard to get off stuff.

I just welded the trim holes on mine shut and ground them down. On the bigger holes I cut a piece of sheet metal to fit then welded it in. Just don't get in a hurry, it doesn't take much to burn a hole. Mine turned out pretty good.

You might have the best luck with brazing the holes closed. I'd be worried about bondo popping out, it might not be possible to get a piece of sheet metal behind the holes, and filling in the hole with steel is kind of overkill.

Go to a Body Shop Supply and get yourself an Eraser Wheel, you chuck it in your power drill and it removes decals, pinstriping and foam tape from the paint without damaging the finish.

You will wonder how you ever got along without it.

You might have to buy the mandrel separately.

X2 on the wheel. That's what I used after I tried everything else. I wished I new about it sooner.
