Need to identify

There is a round metal thing next to the Hood hinge on drivers side, has a vac line going to it, and elec wires going to it. 9 2 W250 cummins.

It is a low vacuum warning switch.

Mark is correct.

Watch out George, as the nipple that the hose clamps to likes to break off.

If that switch fails, or vacuum is low and it works, it lights the brake system warning light. t's wired in parallel with the park brake switch, and the balancing valve switch.
