Need Help!!!!

Alright, so I was testing out my new injectors (Scheid 6x18's) and I heard a pop followed by massive amounts of bluish/white smoke with what seemed to be a miss in one cylinder. I though it was the turbo but I took the turbo off and started it. The bluish white smoke is coming from the engine. It appears to only smoke a few seconds after starting like it has to build oil pressure. It seems to smoke the most right after the "miss" so what the heck is wrong. Could it be burnt up rings in one cylinder or maybe something with my IP like a broken tooth on my head or rotor, or maybe a head gasket. I am so ****** I just want to sell that pile but I can't afford to so I need to investigate.

Have You removed the injector and see if any of them are leaking?

to see if the injector is leaking?? would that cause that much smoke?? my #3 injector had a little wetness around the threaded ring but how could that make it seem like a gasser with a fried spark plug. I was about to pull the head but I will try to tighten up that injector first.

My 1st guess would be the head gasket as well.

A little off topic, but I thought you bought you 6X.018's from New Era? Did you end up going with Scheid?

the intercooled motors got an upgraded headgasket in 911/2,the nonintercooled gaskets were not as good, though still seem to last a long time.if yours has never been changed, its probably blown based on you symptons.good luck.

I don't understand this attitude. When you dump massive amounts of fuel into a diesel stuff is likely to go wrong. It goes with the territory.

Or an EGT and boost guage are your best friends in this case scenario. Too much boost pressure seen across the board and that's what popped the gasket I'd think.

I do appologise for the attitude and it was my fault it blew but I have owned this truck for about 3 months now and have only been able to drive it for a bout a week due to problem after problem. First it was the charging system then the fuel system (cracked lines and blown LP), now the head....MAYBE. I hope you all can see where I am coming from.

Yes my injectors are New Era 6x18's, I R skatter brained

Luckely I have a back-up truck ( 84 chey blazer, camo, 6.2L detroit, propane injection) So I will stick my truck in the hobby shop and get all the goodies done and a marine gasket and head studs so I won't have to pull it ever again.

There is no such thing as a "marine" head gasket. Get a 0.020" over gasket from Cummins.

I'd buy a new head if you are going to put the money into porting.

That's what I'm going to do. I'm looking for a 91.5 up head (if you know anyone) and I need the part # for that gasket if possible because I can't find it anywhere. Thanks
