Need getrag parts

I need the inner shifter boot the one that seals the top of the tranny around the shifter. The one on My tranny is shot, the Jyard is no help and the dealer won't even recognize it Does anyone know of an aftermarket one I can buy or something similar I can use? I was thinking about the trans axle boots but looks like the top ring is much bigger than the one on the shifter.

Also I need a getrag mount or insulator I need the rubber part and the dealer does not have it nor does the Jyard, at least not a good one. Is there any aftermarket one I can buy?

Thank You.

I got new trans mounts at the local auto parts store, they seem to be decent quality, at least better than the old rotten ones i had. I'm not sure about the boot though, that could be tough.

Well I'm sure more people than I need this part and would like to put something that won't leak oil around a clean tranny so I found this part #1032519 at rockauto web site is the shifter boot for a Hyundai tiburon and unless the size is way off it looks very similar to the one on our getrags.

So... does anyone know the size of this thing might be a close fit?

I rebuilt my getrag last year and it is already covered in oil again because of that leaky boot.

If you had to you could use a bike tube and a couple of clamps. Crude but affective.

Maybe I'm missing something but that doesn't look even close to the insulator on My getrag is that bc mine is 4x2 not 4x4 or I can fit this on the tranny?

I have used a CV boot on Getrags for years. Look on TDR or 1stGen and you should be able to find it.

I'm not a TDR member, it won't let Me do a search. Any chance You remember the part # on that cv boot?

I must've lost the box that the last cv boot I bought came in. Just take your thrashed, leaky shift boot into your local autoparts store, have the guy get down ALL the cv boots he has from the shelf. Find the one that looks to fit the best. At Autozone, there were a few different ones from different applications that would work. I said, ok now lets check each ones price. Ranged from a couple bucks to ten bucks. I'm sure you can guess which one I bought.

Went to carquest today and found one that fits close enough, Thank You.

Also when reinstalling the getrag what is better tranny into bellhousing or tranny with bell into clutch pressure plate. I'm reinstalling the tranny after the rebuild and I don't know which way is better/easier to put it back.
