Name this trash/treasure turbo!

ok long story lol,so i got this from my friend for free cause she was chewin on something and his boss told him to throw it away so he did, right in the back of his truck!!!lol. dumb old me i thought i could rebuild it so i ripped it appart and did not resume cause it was worse off than i thought. but my dad says he has a brand new one on his work bench that i can have and i know it will fit my manifold, and i think it will pipe if i turn the compressor houseing... but i would like to know what it is? how good it is? and if its worth putting on my truck? thanks guys!!

LOL what is it? compressor wheel looks fairly small. looks like it says "CAT"

Any numbers?? tag ?? it doesn't have a v-band flange on the compressor so that means it can't have the intercooler elbow hooked up to it, but thats fine for you. the silicone boot for the crossover is meant to slide right over that and use a clamp to hold it on there

Any pictures of the whole turbo?? numbers stamped on the exhaust housing??

it might have the wrong style exhaust flange (t4), pics of the whole turbo are a must

Looks like something off of a 3116 or 3126. I think a 3116 is about 6.6 liters.

S300! Thats a nice find....would be an awesome addition to your truck. Take a measurement on the compressor inducer. Its looks like a 62mm compressor to me!

I hope its not a T4 exhaust, or has some giant laggy housing on it. that'd be a bummer.

Sounds like by JAyers post that you're onto something

Definely get out the mic and measure that compressor wheel !

i kind of had a hunch thats what it was!!! just from hearing people talk about them, but i have scence scrapped the rest of the turbo and just saved the compressor housing (thats all that was basically good) the pics i have are old and was wondering if i should get my dad to bring home the one he has, or if it wasent even worth asking. cause i dont know how the down pipe would work?? i have a pic being approved now of what the old one looked like.

I was actually looking at trying to find one off a C7 Cat. I am almost positive that it would be a great upgrade for the little Cummins, and they really whistle when you get on them! Good find BTW, just keep us posted on what the measurements are.
