gotta have a new powersteering line made, ended twisting the end off while taking the steering box off :

Have to order another 14" fan and make a shroud. Its just sitting there for the pic

Now for the custom cluster idea.

I decided that the autometers were too flippin spendy so im going to use Equuis gauges from Oreilys. i have one in the mazda and it is pretty nice actually. and i am using the stock speedo.
but first strip the cluster

then i am going to take thin sheet metal or aluminum and cut it to fit over the hold in the cluster, cut the holes to hold the new gauges and to fit the speedo. And in the last pic, they are bad marks but you can see how i am going to trim the bezel to keep the black accent and factory I.D. lights

Do it! But make it 4". 6" is to high, you can fit 36's under a 4" lift.

They used the same cluster layover's (plastic) in all the trucks and suv's (ramcharger) just didn't use the bulbs in the area of that particular warning light.

i thought they were a pretty good ad on too. found them last fall in a couple KW cabs that were out behind my friend's dad's shop.

on the open gate thing, yep. it was used to tell the driver that the back hatch was open on the ramchargers. although mine is the stock cluster, it still had the bulb and for some reason it came one once in the past 4 years. only for 2 seconds tho. i dont know why

last week: well no progress, not much anyways. just got the front of the frame bedliner'd, new weather stripping, 4" exhaust, and all new door pins. started putting the truck back together. have to go buy a steering box at Napa and pick up loom for the under hood wiring. Ordered my gauges today also. 1-1/2" Equus white face with black lettering. gunna start modifying the cluster, bedliner the inside of the fenders and put them on. now on the fan mounting idea, I have enough room to put both fans inbetween the rad and intercooler. I was thinking that if i put them there, they can pull air thru the IC and push it through the rad. im not concerned about pulling air across the IC too much, just the rad at low(er) speeds.

here's some crappy cell pics

gots me gauges yesterday. So today after class im going to stop by quality supply and pick up some thin aluminum and make my custom cluster. they are 1-1/2" gauges from Equus. pretty nice for $40 for the tripple set. comes with all the light covers for colors and all the fittings and line for oil psi. One problem i noticed....they dont make a 1-1/2" fuel gauge only 2"

Ha Ha, I forgot all about the gate open lighting provision. I remember wondering the exact same thing when I put LEDS in my dash. For about half a minute I got this great big dream about running a daul rear, beefing up the springs, and makin a small dump box. I decided it was too much work so I just put the bulb in and put the dash back together. Now I know what Dodge really intended with it!
