my first sled pull

well it wasnt very pretty but i did accomplish my first sled pull, i killed the motor the first time, and then jerked it hard enought to screw up my receiver hitch but i did gain alot of expirence, built a new hitch and i should be ready for ocotober 17th, here is the link to the vid, not bad for an open diff and bald tires, i realy didnt go there to pull but i got talked into it.

yeh ill admit it felt like i wrecked somethin, but i did make it down the track with the sled behind me, but it was pretty screwed when all was said and done, i failed to relize that there was slack in the chain when i killed the motor, so yeh it had some slack and i powered down. no worries, i own a welder and a plaz so she is pullin again. none of the welds broke but it did stretch the tubing some, more like 3" backwards

I bet you did not get any brownie points with the sled operator either.

Hey, now you know what to expect. I had some lousy pulls with the tractor till I got used to it.

No ones first hook is real pretty but it sounded like the truck ran pretty good, It took me a while to learn how to launch with different track conditions

What gear was that?

Benjamin b2 good job. We all have a rough time when we take our first step. Truck looked stout. Block your rear axle so it don't squat so bad in the back and be careful with aggressive tires they have a tendecy to bite too much and help in the braking of lot of parts. Good job and good luck.
