For anyone who ever has to do an oil cooler, I recommend that you pull the water pump and clean out the goo in there and flush the heater core separately before hooking it back up to the rest of the cooling system. I did both of these and after only three dish soap cycles, it's looking pretty clean considering. I probably got a couple of cups of goo out of both those places that I would still be trying to get out with soap if I hadn't cleaned it out beforehand.

She's in the rinse cycle now and then I will go ahead and add some antifreeze and be driving it again. I'll probably tear up one of those oil absorbing mats into strips and dangle them in the overflow bottle to catch the rest.
