Nice looking rims.

was there a catalog that told you what lug nuts you needed for those rims ?

I've found all kinds of rims available online, but finding the correct shoulderd / tapered type of lug nut is a little more difficult.

I ordered them from summit which told me which lug nuts were needed.

In this case, conical and a 60* seat. I ordered 32 from a store on eBay.

Since I am chillaxing here offshore in Venezuela, I decided to ordered some new parts for the ride.

I figured with it having 374k miles on it I would perform some much needed maintenance.

New parts ordered:
Water Pump
Thermostat
Radiator cap
Upper/Lower radiator hoses (old ones were starting to show their age)
Raybestos Upper and Lower Ball Joints (I am going to tear it down to install the new springs and shocks, so might as well replace them while I am at it)
Raybestos upper and lower control arm bushings (same reasoning as above)

Thats it for now. As boredom sets in offshore Im sure this list will expand. Also, I went with Raybestos parts over MOOG based on the recent reviews on MOOG claiming their new-found lack of quality and Chinese made crap materials.

I have a huge pile of new parts waiting to get installed when I get home. Should be a much better riding/driving/towing/looking first gen when Im done. Hopefully the AC just needs an R12 charge or thats next on the list to upgrade/fix. Then its interior upgrades with new carpet, Dynamat (or similar), CD player (Currently listen to the cummins as I drive), along with new speakers, new window motors and limo tint. Its just money. I figure I am still $35k ahead vs. buying a new Tundra crewmax 4x4. And no monthly payment to worry about

Pics to come.

Question for all who has power mods (I mean who doesnt).

I am looking at upgrades for my rig. It will be used as mainly a tow rig and weekend driver. Its a 5-speed and has 374k miles on it and is all stock. Straight-piped exhaust. To my knowledge everything is like it left the factory. Runs great and only puffs a little smoke at startup. No smoke noticed otherwise.

The pump is a new/rebuilt unit with 100 miles on it. No tuning done to it.

What should I look to replace/upgrade in the engine area? I bought a 3200 rpm gov spring to install but thats it so far. Not looking to build huge power but would like to wake it up a little. Main goal is for it to still be reliable when towing my 7500lbs. New fuel pin? New turbo? New injectors? (i think they are still the stockers in there) New lift pump? I want to tweak the pump some but dont want to go overboard.

What are the opinions from the masses? Lets say I have $1000-$1500 to spend.

I'm very happy with the mods in my signature. The truck responded well and I can pull without the EGT's going past 1200*. It feels very close to my old stock 06' in power but does smoke when the boost is around 5-10lbs. It cleans up real nice once the boost is above 10lbs. I'm very curious to hear about the dually rims you have and how they installed. I have yet to order rims because of the centering issues with the "coined" stock wheels. Please let us know how your install went and part numbers.

Thanks for the reply. I plan on starting off slow with just the 3200 gov spring and tuning the pump up some. Then I can upgrade from there.

I get home from offshore next week and will see about getting them mounted up. I have to wait on it to get finished from the body shop first though.

Picked up my truck from my paint guy. Not perfect but looks 100x better than it did. Drove it home and slapped on the new rims and tires. 235s fit great on there. New suspension is going in this weekend so the front should raise up after the sagging coils are replaced.

I've got to say that's a slick looking truck. I would like to get ahold of your paint guy an see what he would charge me for a paint job. If want to lift that truck alittle all the way around I use hockey pucks made of solid rubber. Truck looks good doesn't show to much frame. Also with the lift gave me room for my 47rh swap I'm doing on my truck.

Thanks. its been a long time coming. Still a lot of work to do on it however.

Yeah it was on it when I bought it, however it had bigger bull-bar type forks in the middle to protect the front grill. I torched them off. I think it looks much sleeker. I have a wrap around dually bumper that I am working on for the rear. I just need to purchase a little bit more diamond plate for it then have it painted to match the front.

Thanks for the props. Im just going to replace everything up front as its very tired. Meaning new coils, shocks, control arm bushings, ball joints, etc. Should raise the front end a few inches. Thats all I am really looking for.

Tell me more about this no-load flasher. Specifically, where did you buy it and what's the part number, if you have it available? Every flasher I've tried that says it works with LEDs doesn't seem to be happy with the front markers alternating like they're wired to. Granted, I still have standard incandescent bulbs in the fender markers. Does it work fine once LEDs are in the fender markers? Only other option is to wire relays into the circuit to make them happy. I'd like to avoid that if at all possible.

Very sharp looking truck!! I think I'll have to go with black on mine if body work is done well since any little imperfection would show up in a dark color. If not, boring ol' white will have to do . I do like the front bumper as well. I've been wanting to replace the factory bumpers for a while now with some that are a bit more stout. I'm all about "less is more" and K.I.S.S. so what you have is probably close to what I'd build myself (if I can get to where I trust my welds ).

That's the flasher I have installed. Blinkers work fine but I never tried it with just LEDs in the blinkers and not in the side markers. LEDs everywhere for me now.

Thanks for the props. Its definitely not the best paint job but it will work for me. It's a 10 footer.
