commercial snow removal is where the $$ is. There's upwards of $150/hr to be made if you provide 100% reliable service. Its like money falling from the sky every time I see snow in the forecast! Don't forget to sock away a little of that $$. Plowing is extremely hard on front end components. Parts will break, its just a matter of when.

Dang! Bus FTW! I've got a '52 m38a1 for the drive an a neighbor or two. Good $ in plowing, but I've got enough junk front ends to work on without cashing my personal vehicle. I do like that glowshift combo. Got the 3-gauge pillar in the 96 and have been very happy with it for the money.

not exactly what I had in mind when I said 'hard on front end components'. That truck must have been MOVING when it hit that bus.

My buddy was driving one of our plow trucks a few years back, a minivan pulled out in front of him (left turn) and he sideswiped it at over 55 mph. van went air born and barrel rolling numerous times. Amazingly, none of the SEVEN occupants were seriously injured. The plow had some damage to the sub frame, the 85 chevy K30 having a bent frame too. Still got the plow though!

There's a video over on LiveLeak but we can't post a link here. Not much for showing the impact but it gives several camera angles from inside the bus. It was a hard lick and sent kids flying. It's titled "Plow hits bus (no audio)". As you can tell from the second picture the driver of the truck didn't fare real well either.

My guess is his brakes went out looking at the body of the truck my guess is his brake line rotted or something.

If you watch that video on liveleak he SLAMS into that bus and it appears that a passenger exiting the bus at the time of the impact was actually had his leg run over by the bux when it got hit and moved forward.

Anyway Josh you did goood at almost $300.....

I saw that crash on the news, but I didn't know a dodge was the offender. The CCTV clips were pretty bad. The way the bus was pushed I figured it was a big highway plow that hit it.

Skidsteers suck when its icy. I used to get mine stuck all the time. I used to clean up the small areas in my yard with it. We sold it as it sat around most of the time.
