mud run

Thumbs up mud run

had some fun this week end we had a mud run around here and the guys wanted me to participate i did not want too but they keept on bugging me BIG MISTAKE
see since the cummins is a 6 cylinder they had to put me in the 6 cylinder category that was fun see there run were between 12 to 45 seconds mine was 6.1 so i told them i was gona be fare i let my wife drive she did 8.2 so still to be fare i went in the 8 cyl class i took 2nd place my wife took 3rd got beten by a furd with a 460 ill have some mods for next time furd time was 4.8 mine was 5.2 i should have floored it but my dam pyro went out on me did not want to hurt the old girl
next for mods im planning on a 16 cm housing and maybe a set of 190 injectors in the neer future by the way i was told 16 cm housing is not good with those 190 your ideas please and i need some more ideas to make the old girl better for mud run i need ideas please and some quick fix cause i got no money for mods right now and another mud run next month

Lockers! best investment you can make in my opinion. Makes it a little interesting to steer in the snow, but if you're wanting to play in the mud, go for it, ARB's would be best because you can go back to open difs with the flip of a switch, but if you're conscience of it the old fashioned lockers can be overcome with some finess when you're in the wet or the snow. I often get volunteered to yank everyone out when they stick their gassers to the frame in a pit. I don't particularly like it just because I hate cleaning it every time after I'm done, but I've never gotten it stuck, probably just not trying hard enough ;-) For straight line mud runs lockers are the way to go. You've already got the power, and those 9.00 tires will cut through it plenty good enough. Maybe next time they'll insist that you drag an upside down 4dr Impala while you're making your runs to even out the times ;-) Just make sure you don't dip that intake in the water,,,that's my main fear in the mud.
