I have a 93 manual, can I run synthetic oil in it? Also do I need the limited slip additive for the rear diff.,and can I run a fully synthetic fluid in them as well.

 

Yes,(5w20), yes(if yours is a limitd slip, I use the dodge stuff, some guys use the royal purple), and yes....

 

Yep, synthetic seems to run smoother in the manual. Synthetic will work in the rear too. Some synthetic gear oil has friction additives in it, but I'd put the dodge stuff in anyway.

5w-30 SYNCORMESH manual trans fluid from amsoil if you want to spend a fortune. Moblie-1 5w-30 synthetic works great too.

 

I have 5-qts Mobil-One 5W-30 FULL-Synthetic in mine.

I noticed Walmart has five-quart jugs of Walmart-brand 5W-30 FULL-Synthetic for less than half the cost of the Mobil.

Seeing as how we are talking transmissions, and not internal combustion engines, I will probably use the Walmart stuff on the next round.
