Making Horsepower....

Seems like there are a lot of repair threads on here lately....anybody do anything power wise they want to brag about recently? I'm still stuck at 599, my plan is to hit a different dyno

Not to rip on the repair threads....my junk is falling apart too

I haven't had the chance to dyno my pile since an additional turn on the fuel screw, the 5x.012s and the powerstroke intercooler (even though I just installed it this weekend). I'll bet I'm far from your numbers though .

I'm ditching my flat bed in favor of a standard bed soon. That will probably add seat-of-the-pants HP, right?

Mine's falling apart at 199, I bet 599 could shake some stuff loose!

The locked shift into Overdrive is pretty gnarly.....last person I took for a ride in it and shifted lock to lock said "That isn't good!" LOL

Since my HG went in the fird and the head also had cracks between where the valves seat on the head which made it junk. I'm putting the motor out of the 91 in the ford.

I'll be putting a hamilton cam in and turning the fuel the rest of the way up. Running through 3" cooler tubes and the stock PS intercooler too. Stock ground pin. might throw the DennyT back in I'm not sure. I might grind the AFC foot (Since I have a spare IP if I REALLY don't like it) and I'll be running it all with my s364/65 with unknown housing. I'm hopin to be at least north of 350 when I eventually get it on a dyno. I'll eventaully get a timing spacer, and while the motor is out I'll be resealing it, doing head studs, and KDP, and bumping the timing a tooth, as well as hotwiring the ksb.

We'll see where it takes me, the s364/65 spooled pretty good with the ppump. I could get 25psi by 1700-1750rpm so we'll see if I can get the VE motor to spool at least as good with a hamilton cam with a bit less fuel.

It'll be back together before the end of the month and with any luck/spare change I'll see if I can squeeze it on the local dyno (which is a mustang dyno). The dyno doesn't give big numbers. A lot of guys get sent home disappointed with their numbers.

Sounds cool, and the 64/65 sounds like a cool setup. You'll have to let us know how you like it. Mustang dynos do suck, I think I would have made at least 1 more hp on a Dynojet

I got an hx52 and I'm rebuilding it, then sending out to be balanced. Also got an air dog 165. I'm waiting for some other little stuff before I make it back to the dyno. Hope to break 400 in direct with no correction. Also going to try the whole .25 mile thing soon, see how fast I can row some gears and be embarrassed!

I'm pretty happy with the power, just need to minimize the low end smoke a little. I need to put a fresh H&R in the pump, also have a he351ve waiting on the bench to put in. Other than that just keeping the junk on the road!

I'll brag alittle. Crossed the quarter at 114mph last week granny shifting the getrag with a dual disc. Time for a manual VB 47RE or RH and to ditch these 15.5in wide Mickys for something alil lighter.
