I'm on vacation with my wife... and not telling where. On tuesday i made a "wrong" turn and went the "wrong" direction on the road we were traveling on. After about 1/4mile my eye spots that wonderous beauty that is the sytlings of the 1st gen body... i immediately slow and turn around to go back to the "junk yard" i saw. There were so many cars, and i mean awesome cars... as we pull back up i spot that 1st gen.. wait, no... it's in a different spot... there's 2! i was starting to get excited. well it turns out to be some guys house... and he's got some amazing stuff there. Cars all the way back to the 20's and 30's! as we pull up i start looking... 3...4...5...6...7...is that one a diesel? no... move on... 8..9..10!!!!! 10 first gen diesel trucks! a reg cab 2wd that would make you cry it's so beautiful... the cab... fill and i mean FILLED with magazines! 4 duallys some 2wd some 4x4. a single rear wheel reg cab stretched with a custom sleeper between the cab and bed... i just can't even explain how excited i was getting. you could see he used at least 2 of the 1st gens and had a second gen that was also being used but the rest look like they are just waiting for a savior! and i would like to be that savior! anyways, i walked up to the door and there was a sign that said "day sleeper do not disturb" i will be back... ohhhh i will be back. and i will be offering to buy all 10 of those trucks... for the lowest price he will go!

WOW thats wild i wonder why he got so many think he is cornering our market? creating a 1st gen monopoly? na we need more people like that to swoop up old 1st gens b4 the crusher gets um in florida. MAN i want a crew cab soooooooo bad but i luv my std cab. it does just fine.

Until the part about the "day-sleeper", you could have been describing me, or about five of my friends, places.

I really don't know if we fall into the "collector" or the "hoarder" category.

I just like to have plenty of back-up plans.

i no that feeling mic a guy i no owns 8 but no way he wants to sell he loves them too much he has 8 first gens 5 running 3 for parts and 4 sec gens and 2 third gens hes my hero

 

lol, not in KY. i'm a little worried about the "collector/hoarder" but i asked a few local people and they said he sells stuff from time to time depending on the project he's focussed on... hopefully when i approach him he will need money for something else! at least i hope so....
