Looked at 92 today and fuel pedal got stuck

I went up to the fuel pump and moved the little swivel part back. The springs weren't stuck or nothing could it just need wd40 to loosen the area up maybe? The guy said he hasn't used the truck much in 5 months but before he put tons of miles on it all highway as a matter of fact. I found it kinda odd and came home to look at my 91 and the fuel pump is different looking so that didn't help. I am planning on buying the 92 dually and selling my 91.5 but wondering if the problem is major? It doesn't seem like it but it was just weird. Thanks Aaron

The fuel pump, u mean Injector pump? There is a heavy duty spring on the base of the shaft that comes out of the IP where the throttle connects. I dont have any pictures but someone else may. Check to see if its there.

Nah. I've seen that a couple times. Most likely the bellcrank shaft is rusty. Pop it out, polish it, put a little grease on it, and you'll be good to go.

Yea I meant injection pump my bad. After sitting for 4-5 months I guess it is bound to get a little rusty. I will grease it before I buy it to make sure. Thanks for the help. Aaron

I had one of my trucks to do that and more than once. There was a problem with the pump. Read about this problem in some of the threads here. There is a recall on some of these pumps. Got mine replaced at the Dodge dealer for free. You can find all the info here.
