Load, ride quality and Air bags.

Has anyone ever "Bagged" a First Gen?
I'm considering putting bags in the rear to help with leveling and ride quality when I'm empty. This "Foot thick" spring pack is killing my back.
I see a bunch of stuff for second gen but nothing for first gen.
Any reason I can't adapt a kit for a Second Gen to my truck?
I looked at the pictures of Jamie Attridge's ride and it looks pretty simple.

Re:Load, ride quality and Air bags.

i put the air ride bags on my truck (the ones you can get in Summit) to help when towing. I didn't have the big spring pack, so mine was sagging. Having them in there, even inflated to just a few lbs, does make empty driving harsher than it was without them tho. But if you take out some of your springs it might get better for you

Re:Load, ride quality and Air bags.

I have looked at the Kelderman air ride also it is a great product as I seen it up close and personal but the $$$ not so great. But why not get some air bags, heavy duty helpers and take your overloads off along with a couple main springs and use the bags to make up the difference. That seems to me would give you a nice ride empty, then air up for a load. If I remember right Kelderman takes and flips the front springs upside down adds an air bag and thats your front air ride. Just an idea Ive had. [undecided]
