Lift pump: Mechanical or electric?
Any opinions? I think my lift pump has crapped and they seem cheap enough to replace proactively. Any part numbers for readily available electric pumps that will work with the diesel?

The mechanical one works fine, you can get it for less than $40 from US Diesel Parts.
