I have a friend w/ a clutch type posi out of a dana60. Does anyone know if that will fit the dana71 (3.07 carrier) with a new ring and pinion?

No it will not .. It may be possible to make it work with some machining but you will more than likely need custom longer axels. i have put a d70 detroit locker in a d60 housing but not the other way. the 3.07 case is machined wider on the ring gear side because of the dia of the pinion gear. I do believe that powertrax makes a locker that will fit in a 3.07 open carrier and there very simple 2 install . Other than that there is really nothing else avaliable for the "oddball" 3.07 housing.Anyone know the part # for the powertrax locker??
