ksb question

ksb question

I had a friend tell me that cummins makes a kit to delete the ksb.anyone know anything about this? I would like to delete mine.

Anything to do with the KSB is going to be a BOSCH variant, not Cummins.

If you do a bit of research, there are numerous means of operating the VE roller-ring timing mechanism and both left- and right-handed versions of each variant.

I have seen VEs that had plain caps on both sides.

After studying everything that takes place in the KSB, I really don't think one would want to eliminate it, unless another means of timing according to demand were implemented.

There are versions that have a cable-operated cold-start advance.

Take the solenoid out, give it juice and see how much the pin moves. Stack little flat washers around the pin to the same thickness and screw it all back in.
