key light ?
I suspect that timer may be missing. Is it a plug-in unit? Thought I found it on the fuse panel, but it's the emergency light flasher.
Ok so some have been asking just where it this timer for my Halo Ring Light.
Mine is hanging just to the right side of the parking brake assembly; it is the small round silver colored cylinder.
Warning, if you have your drivers door open for any amount of time it can get anywhere from warm to really hot, hot enough to cause you to jerk your hand away and possibly injure yourself doing so, especially under my dash.

On your truck it may be higher up into the dash since I had pulled mine down to check it when my Halo Ring Light did not work.
I hope this gives you some ideas as where to look for yours.

Thanks, Jim. That did help a lot.
I found the socket, but the timer isn't there. The socket was taped up tight against the bundle of wires going from the steering wheel to the firewall. Very hard to see.
I think I read somewhere that for a time, the timers weren't installed and the halo light didn't work from the factory. Maybe that was the case with this one, because it looks like the timer would have burned the wiring the way the socket was taped.

I finally fixed my "halo ring" around the ignition switch. It is powered from a relay that is taped to the main wiring harness going to the fuse block. The relay is actually a bi-metal switch that heats up as long as your door is oped or the interior light is on. The strip then bends so that the contacts can pass voltage to the lamp behind the halo ring. When you close your door or turn off the light the strip cools back down and bends back disconnecting the lamp contacts. I purchased a new one at NAPA for $30ish They have a really weird listing for it though so I'll try to remember to get the part number and post it here.
