Kerosene
LOW LUBRICITY OF KERO CAN BE A PROBLEM, A LITTLE IN WINTER TO REDUCE GELING(VERY LITTLE). WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO CLEAN UP. WE USED TO RUN A LITTLE ATF IN BIG TRUCKS (1 QT. PER 100 GALS) BUT THERE ARE BETTER ADDITIVES OUT NOW.

you can run kerosene just add 5% oil because it wont lube the pump alone.
theres alot of good additives out there such as stanadyne.
atf would probably be a bad idea considering it has friction modifiers for the clutches in a tranny.

Kerosene won't hurt the engine, but I've seen it mentione a few times that it's not good for the pump. Not just lack of lubricity for the pump, but sulfer causes the seals to swell. No problem when you stick with Kerosene, but switching back and forth, the seals will try to return to their normal size and swell up again. I'm sorry i don't have the source, but I don't see a reason to doubt this and would not risk it.
