kdp fixed

Hello, just got back in from tabbing the kdp on my 93. I was suprised to see the pin doesnt look like it was even flush with the case yet. But it feels good to be done with that. Thanks guys for all the help now maybe I can start on the fun things to make a little more POWER

Is staking the hole as effective as tabbing?

I used the methed that req that you drill a hole in the gear cover at a right angle to the pin and then tap and put a bolt in to keep the pin in!....the only down fall to this idea is if the pin all but out, you will not be able to put the bolt in to pin it in to place untill you take the gear cover off and knock it back in!

Mine had 215,000 on it when i did it!

I wouldn't be at all concerned about staking one in. There's no irresistable force pushing the KDP out, it just walks out due to a sloppy fit. Peen the case over the pin and it will not come out.
