i paid $2000 for the truck, $70 for a lift pump, $60 or $70 more for filters and stuff like that, $960 for the injection pump, $500 for the turbo.

i'm getting close to $4000, but i bought it because i can't afford to feed the gasoline engine in my other truck (20+ MPG with diesel; 7 MPG with gas). i've put 10,000 miles on it in 4 months and in that same time saved $2500 or more on fuel (i assumed $2.80 for gas and $3.00 for diesel). in 4 more months, i'll have saved $5000, and in a year $7500.

i guess i see mine as saving money, not really costing money.

oh, yeah, $3.00 to jb weld 9 billion little holes in the intercooler........

I spent $5500 on the truck and probably $6000 in the last 3 weeks in turbo,injectors,4" exaust,ARP studs, etc.(just look in sig) for a grand total of $11,500. I have however just begun. I still plan on doing rims, tires, paint, and the rest of my teins kit w/ EDM injectors so I expect another $10,000 for a final price of about $21,500

I learned long ago to never add this stuff up!

When people ask, I just tell them "a lot"...and the same goes for my crawler too! Plus, if I was to post it here or tell someone that would provide a way for my wife to possibly find out...and that wouldn't be good for anyone. -> -> ->

Anyone who really cares to know can add all the mods in my sig to the initial $6k purchase price. Better throw in a few hundred more to cover the Class V hitch, toolbox, and new shocks etc.

Truck 6500
rear axle 500
guages 400
tires 500

for 7900 that I can remember.

add a getrag rebuild, new brakes all around, NP205 rebuild, bearings for front axle, IP rebuild, turbo work, ect.. that is is going to need in the near future and it makes me wish I had just bought a newer much lower milleage gasser for the same price, esp with diesel prices now days.

I'll probably miss a lot of stuff - not even counting maintenance or wear items like tires and brakes, but here's the big stuff.

Truck: $4600
Front end redone: $900
4" Exhaust: $360
Rebuild diff: $220
POD's: $380
Turbo: $900
Clutch and trans rebuild: $1500
Clockspring: $120
EDM's: $800

$9780 total over 40 months of ownership = $245 a month. Beats a truck payment on a new one.

Well I custom ordered mine new (basic work truck with clearance lights deleted, cloth seats).

For the life of the truck, a water pump, rear ring and pinion, fan and radiator, power steering pump, a couple of batteries, a couple-a-three sets of light bulbs. One flexplate, two belts, and tires.

215,000 miles.

In the last year, all the mess in my Sig.

It's been a good truck.

$1200 paint/supplies
$100 Wheel simulators
$60 re-upholster materials for sleeper
$100 mattress for sleeper
$400 for regular ball joints/pitman arm.

I may not want to do this...
Truck $2500
rebuild on getrag $1800
4 new tires $400
complete brake job $800
new body panels $400
new bed $600
stacks $450
oil pressure gauge $20
radio $30
paint and body $250 (did it myself)
cab lights $25
ram hood ornament $15
windshield $190
3200 spring $20

So I figure around $7500, not bad for a truck that'll haul anything, run forever, looks better than any new truck (IMHO) and averages 23mpg!
