Junk yard first gens

Others on here must have a go to truck or two in a junk yard somewhere. Last time I pulled parts I snapped a couple picks. This one's about used up.

I recognize that truck, I tried to buy the motor out of it, but Bobby never wanted to sell it, he was saving it for a loader. Last time I was down there the motor and trans were gone, and somebody had done a number on the engine wireing harness and dashboard. Lots of smashed plastic and cut wires.

Lots of good parts left on that one. Mirror, Core support, door handle. 1 spice Bucket I could use, Console maybe, Cab lights, interior parts, Drivers side wheel molding, Ext cab windows, some of the side trim is salvageable.

The External hubs and curved steering arm lead me to believe thats a d44 front. But you never know with out crawlin in the dirt.

That is so sad, it looks like the vultures already pecked the eyes out and they are now eating it.

I have been at wrecking yards and watched adults beating and smashing glass and sheet metal out of vehicles and then walk to the next one and smashing something else. Last time I was at Pick-a-Part I was under a car when I felt something dripping on my feet so I crawled out and found some non english speaking was peeing on the car and my feet.

I see someone had fun smashing the window glass out of the school bus in the background.

I didn't think there was a D44 worth crawling in the dirt for.unless your a Jeep guy, then you want it from a Ford anyway

Geesh, Jim....

Seems like you get the stinky end of the stick...... huh ?

Is that a Ferd Bed on that truck ?

Someone should save the remaining parts off of it, no ? seems as though the vent windows on the front doors, and the extra cab windows got missed by the vandals

People are such retards that they "get off" by breaking glass.

Bastages !

Yep, its a ferd bed on it. It was originally a 2wd, and somebody was in the process of making it 4wd. The front axle is a closed knuckle drum brake unit. Never looked close enough to see if it was a dana 44 or 60.
If I get a chance, I'll try and go back and save the rest of the good stuff, no promises though. Tons of people roam through there everyday. The windows may not even be there when I go back

I guess there are a few of these trucks out there.

This was one ... well, the only dodge pre 94 in this junkyard.

Nothing I wanted on it, but the body was in decent shape

318 gasser 1/2 ton... They had a few ferd diesels in ther including a crew with a 10' utility body on it.... freaking long truck it was. Lots of firebirds and a couple mustangs from late 60's... but not much of interest to me.

242 Monmouth Road, Wrightstown, NJ (609) 758-1919

If anyone is interested in looking @ it.

Cab lights, headlight buckets, glass, there's a few good parts left.

T-man, looks like a good tailgate and bumper on there at least. I got a spare bumper out in the scrap pile, boss took it off a 92 he had when the hitch started to bend on it. But it's painted grey. Winder what they'd want for that chrome one and how much it would cost to ship it.

The junk-yard where dad and I got my heap runs a first-gen with a wrecker bed on it.

Don't know but I didn't think too much about it as my bumper is ok.

Their number is listed above, and they only have one of these truck there.

IMO, I'd rather buy new, but if the price is ok, I guess you could get it from them.

Here's a better shot ..... or a little better shot of it.

Those parts don't look bad in the picture but aside from the windows and maybe the core support the other parts on the truck look brittle enough they would break on removal. I already snagged the cargo light and looked at the cab lights but left them. The bed is a Ford and the front end is a 44.

That is probably my favorite yard there are other first gens and even one other cummins. To bad it's in northern Michigan so there is no such thing as a good body panel. Some good trim though.
