Its Hay Time!
Of course, we make the tractor-wagons bring the hay alongside and reload it for the road; you can't load hay for the road on a swaying trailer flat; but, we regularly haul 360 tight heavy square-bales of whatever, alfalfa, Timothy, straw, and take them down the interstate at highway speed.
Trailers are 36x8 flat, with full length over-neck-deck.
It will make a little old ton truck stand up and pay attention.
One time, not knowing until we had already driven there, we got into some poorly baled hay, loose as a goose.
It is near impossible to load and strap loose bales.
It was during a dry spell, so we didn't tarp, as we weren't going that far.
We would be traveling along, and a bale would suck plumb out of the strings, blowing hay all over, and loosen that part of the load, requiring us to stop and re-secure the load.
