IP firing order, which lines go where ?
IP firing order, which lines go where ?
So I'm replacing my injector lines. Had a piece of paper on which I wrote down where everything went, now it has disappeared, can't find it.
What goes where ? What firing order ?
I found this thread, but the answer doesn't make any sense to me, or correspond to what I see on to my pump:
https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...iring+order%22
I do not have "top left," far left," "bottom left," "far right" etc. Maybe it's just me and the way I'm looking at it.
On my pump, I see, going clockwise from 12 o clock:
Top
Top Right
Bottom Right
Bottom
Bottom Left
Top Left
What goes where ?
At least I labeled the lines with tape, that didn't go anywhere...

The firing order should be listed on the timing cover. I can't remember if #1 is on the bottom or the top, but I think it's the bottom. From there you put the lines back on counter clockwise in the firing order. I have found that they will only go on one way without binding.
On another thread I found the firing order,
1-5-3-6-2-4
starting counterclockwise at 6 o clock.
I had 4 and 1 criss-crossed, that's what was confusing me and making things go back on not quite right.
Thanks...

Glad you got it straightened out. I took mine off and put them back on blindly twice with no issue's, the third time I got all screwed up and had lines in the wrong spots. It was a real pain, I don't know how I got it done so easily the first two times.
