i'm going to replace the old rubber mat in my truck with carpet, would a heat gun help any with getting the carpet to mold into the truck, or should i just put it in and let the heat from the sun start to mold it?

 

I have always heard just let it lay in the sun flat before you install it.

 

Any carpet kits out there for a first gen?

 

yea, i just did a quick search for "auto carpet" and found the rubber for $116

 

well i got my carpet replacement for about $100 and it looks great, just realized last night that i should have installed starting at the back and working my way to the front....now it looks great
