Injection pump timing (gear position)
Injection pump timing (gear position)
Well, it never fails. The only projects that I ever seem to get involved in are ones that some one else started and can't finish! Anyway on to my problem.
This is a 93 W250 automatic truck. The truck was towed in to me with the front cover off, the cam gear, fuel pump gear and some other hardware laying the cab. My B model books only go up to 92 and don't include much info on the automotive B's. My biggest question is, what letter on the pump gear should line up with the cam gear? I think E should be the letter but I'm not sure. This puts the key around 6:00 plus or minus 00:15.
I'd like to get this thing close to factory timing so any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks. I was guessing it was E, but I wasn't sure since my books are primarily for industrial applications it just says to check the CPL manual book, which I don't have.
Back out to the cold shop, now I can get this thing buttoned up.
