I would like an OD tranny to replace the old 727 with but dont know what fits, whats best, and how much they are. I want to make this old thing better cruising on the highway and get a little more milage too. Maybe even a tighter TQ convertor would help. Where can I find them, and will it help with cruising and milage?

I figure since I have the engine stuff mapped out its time for tranny stuff.

 

I'm also looking into tranny options. You could get away with some upgrades to yours, or you could get a new one. If you do get a newer tranny, I think you should also get a lockup converter which would require a 47RH or newer (I think). You can talk to Goerend or DTT, I'm sure they could help you get what you want.
