HAS ANYONE HAD THE BELOW PROBLEM
I’ve tried Timken 387A Bearings and they’re too small.
This is the 2nd Dana 60 I’ve had this problem with. The 1st I had to buy a new spindle due to some scoring and the 387a fit just fine but on the other spindle I had to leave the old bearing. I did the driver side brake on my other 1st gen and had the same problem. So why would the old bearing slide on and off fine but the new bearing wouldn’t when they’re the same part number?
It doesn’t make since.

387A bearings have an Inside Diameter of 2.25. Now I have don’t the passengers side brakes off yet but I fearing I’ll have the same problem. This time I’ll be sure to measure ID of the old bearing.
Has anyone else had this problem?

The reason mine didnt was that some gorilla used a 3 lb sledge to remove the spindle and hit the bearing surface several times denting it just enough to make the OD more than 2.25. Calipers on the spindle may tell the story
