Well, after much debate with my better half, we have decided to keep my truck! I was going to go for a 2nd gen 12V next year ( I need the room for kid #2 that is coming) but the wife has seen how much work I have done to her (the truck ) and how much trouble I was having just trying to word together an ad, so she said that instead we should get a small car for putting around and keep the truck! I am also going to be upgrading a few things next year (suspension mostly) so I am happy to say that I am going to remain a part of the good ole' 1st genner club!!

There definately is something about these trucks....

You have a way wife there! I was in a similar situation but the truck in question was an 86 W250 gasser. I had picked up a $200 beater oldsmobile Delta88 (one of THE best vehicles I`ve ever owned BTW).Then I got my current truck and sold the gasser....and even with a Cummins in the driveway I still got choked up watching the 86 drive away. I am convinced that it is SOOO true, these old rattlebox warwagons grow ya....sorta like mold but still

 

Well here is the part where I look like a fool it looks like we are going to sell her after all. The military has decided to move me a little early (found out today when I showed up at work) so the plan for 3 cars has gone kaput. Leads me back to my other problem of having 2 kids and needing the x-tra room. A little advice for everyone, if your gonna sell 'em, just do it. It tears you up inside when you are going to sell it, then not, then sell it again. Don't think less of me guys, after all, I belong to the government
