Steve,
Nice photos of christmas snow....... In october.
You're lucky you're not one of the 500,000 + who lost power yesterday.
Yeah, I'm lucky I wasn't taken out by a semi... or some old lady who couldn't see out her windshield, too !
I'm sure I got a few glances @ the Dodge yesterday, with thoughts of........
"Just look @ that Applehead, driving with no wipers .... in a snow storm"
Realty is that I missed out @ making a boatload of cash, yesterday. My plow is still cold and misses the snow.

Snow in Oct
? Were 50's to 60's in mo.
I'v had those plastic pieces break a couple times. I keep an extra set in the glove box and only have 2 screws in each end of the cowl so I can easily open it up if I need to lol
I was thinkin to make a different set-up to eliminate the plasitic bushings using ball and sockets that a bolt goes through in thier place. Only problem would be keeping them lubed.

Glad you made it home safe. Scary trip but at least the frame and undercarriage was nicely protected from rust during your drive.
At least it is nice to get some mixing it up from Mother Nature. Here in Seattle we have one weather forecast that lasts for 7 months...solid RAIN, overcast with minimal sunlight and temps between 34 and 50 degrees. Never need to watch the weather forecast.
wiper bushings
I would hate to try to replace those bushings on the side of the road in bad weather. They are more difficult to install than it appears and I found it necessary to get the entire wiper linkage out of truck and onto the workbench. Do all four at once and don't forget to use a small dab of lithum grease or vaseline inside each bushing. Take careful note of how the linkage comes apart and it will save you some time putting it back together.

And a good pair of Channel-Locks is indispensable.

UPDATE:
Taking the advice of those "in the know" on this web forum, I disassembled my cowl yesterday, and I replaced my wiper bushings.... all 4 of them.
Even though the other 3 are "out of sight....or sunlight", they were still toast. Dried out, cracked and willing to fall out at the moments notice, they were ready to be replaced.
Thanks to Bill, Dean and others who suggested replacing all of them at the same time. Truly worthy advice...
BTW,
Shop vac all the leaves and debris out of there while you're at it....

I had this happen to me in the middle of a terrible rain storm. I just decided I didn't want this to happen again. I decided to fix it with a bolt. I'm pretty sure it will never break again. Fairly easy fix, I had access to a grinder, and a drill press which made it fairly easy. You don't need a drill press, you can use a handheld, but the grinder was a necessity.
