Had a pull tonight. Was going pretty good until the pass. side inner axle snapped off.

Made it 274'





What we found:

That sucks man.

 

I've noticed that a lot of short side inners have been breaking latly, I would've thought that the long side would go 1st.

Just gonna go with another stocker or are you going to upgrade?

I'm suprised I havn't busted one of my spindly little outers yet.

 

I would figure the same. Maybe the longer one will distribute the torquing more evenly over a long span?

 

im surprised there isnt more chromo stuff talked about... on ford-trucks everyone with a mud truck was saving for them even with the KP HP D60

 

I am not sure what we are going to do. Need to upgrade, but kinda over budget for a little while.

Probably try to find a used one for now. You happen to have one Andrew?

They say the short side will give trouble first, since it can't absorb shock loads as well as the longer side. I am pretty much a believer. Since the short side has been where most of our troubles have been.

 

I don't have one .
