Ok I just bought my 92 w250 and I installed pyro and boost gauge today. What should I be reading on the boost gauge... and what about the pyro. The highest boost I have seen is 13psi. thanks for the comments

Welcome to the site. Did you put the pyro probe before or after the turbo?

Welcome. check out the sticky at the top of the board. Here you will find common articles/problems and most of all FREE PERFORMANCE . I'd say 1000 degrees wide open throttle with the lag master exhuast housing. I'm not sure about boost.

My stock config. ran about 14psi and 1100*. But that was at high altitude. So your EGT will most likely be lower since you're pushing some thicker air through.

Just with a 16cm housing and some tweeks with the pump I'm now running a max of about 26psi. The temps get toasty, 1300*, at high altitude with that boost.

What would cause a stock truck to run around 28-30psi ? I believe I have a stock 21cm housing, but the prior owner "tweeked" the pump a bit.. Other than that, the truck is stock I believe. Would the pump bump cause such an increase in boost ?

Edit, looks like the boost gauge is plumbed into the intake horn.

Yep. Turning in the full power screw and adjusting the fuel pin would likely make that sort of boost.

retarded timing also runs higher boost but makes less power. Also EGT's will be higher.

Advance your pump timing and crank that fuel screw, from there you'll be hooked and looking for more power. lol

Depending on how much the pump is tweeked YES it is possible. I went from 14-15psi stock to 27-28psi with 2turns on the power screw & 16cm
