As far as I can remember the hx40 rebuild kit is the same as the 35 correct?

So if I need a rebuild kit for my 40 I order one for the 35 and it's the same?

I have an hx40 I am rebuilding. Just want to make sure there's no variations on different hx40s and that all the hx35 kits will fit any 40 and they're interchangeable correct?

Mine is the hx40w/v water cooled center housing

I just want to be certain because the kit is 100 dollars and I have to overnight it Wednesday morning to have it by Thursday and rebuild by Thursday night for hauling to the rodeo circuit directly after work and I have 0 time to waste.

Oh and another question. Any special tips on what kind of snap ring pliers I'm going to need. Sizing? Or should I just go to a local harbor freight and buy me a nice assortment of Chinese ring pliers

 

should be, give the number on the turbo when ordering, otc and kd tools have interchangeable tips for their pliers, inside and outside might be had together, its good to have a pick to remove snap rings, poke the hole and lift and spin out the clip.
