HX35 flange

For those of us with late HX35s that have the integral cast elbow, here's a little project I did.

I got some 3/8" flatbar 5" wide at the local Metal Supermarket. 6" would have been better though.

I chopped off the flange from my old/stock downpipe and got to work. 8)

I sure do hope it fits

It fits

All that's keeping me from putting it on the truck is I'm waiting for the pyro so I can do the drilling while the turbo is off.

very nice work and a great idea for everybody
you should heat it in the barbeque's for an hour get her nice and hot and while hot weld up the inside so it doesn't crack on your outside weld later cause it will otherwise . not at first but given time it will found out the hard way racing turbos in the eighties .

Salt Spring has better redneck demographics than Mayne So glad there's no emissions testing here. No doubt there are grannies shaking their fingers at me, but I'm too busy going the other direction to notice!

still not in if weather is good tomorrow its going in

I ran it yesterday

Feels good. My black cloud is gone and it pulls harder

I could have tightened the oil return tube a bit better... I had an oily surprise when I checked on things at the beer store.
