hx-35 flange

Just got an hx35 through a friend, 12cm w/g. The problem is, I need the flange/elbow that connects to the exhaust housing and downpipe. I went to the local dealer to get a price but the only diagram they would bring up was a non w/g turbo. I want to do this right, but I'm also trying to get my new turbo on by the 26th for a pull. Can you guys help me out on a place to get one. Thanks
Sam

Your downpipe should bolt right up to the hx35-12 exhaust oulet. I've seen on ebay the cast elbow you're talking about. Cummins would be the place to get one, not a Dodge dealer.

Yea, I'm pretty sure that it will once I get that elbow(dave says it will so it must) but I don't have that elbow. Right now, the best I can describe is that the exhaust opening on the turbo looks like one of those real old door keyways, a circle on top and a squarish shape below it. My friend is finding out what year truck it came off of and should have an answer tomorrow, if the year makes any difference.....I'm thinking that they're mostly the same until you get into the newer ones that have the 4 in. dp(not that that would be bad to get...hmmm) but please correct me if I'm wrong. Does cummins have a website that you can look up parts or a map to show the dealer closest to me?

www.cummins.com for distributor nearest you. Sounds to me like maybe you don't have the backing plate for the exhaust housing. Because you shouldn't need a the cast elbow for install onto a 1st gen.

I have the flange elbow off my 99 in the shed. It is off the stock turbo and I removed it when I installed the Jacobs. It has about six or seven bolts that hold it on and the exhuast pipe clamps to it with that stainless clamp if I remember right. Is that what you need?

It might be, I only need 5 bolts. If you have a pic of it, post it and I can probably tell or someone else will. I'll try to draw a picture of the mounting surface and post it tomorrow.
Thanks

OK, sounds good. I will dig it out tomorrow and see how many bolts it has. It is off a stock 35 turbo from my 99 so it should be what you are needing.

The 94 to 98?or so didn't have the elbow they had what I would call the wastegate cover. Just a plate that bolts to the back of the housing with a flange to clamp your regular down pipe to it. doesn't have an elbow. If you get the one with the elbow you'll need a different downpipe/connection.

I got a picture in my gallery of where it mounts on the back of the turbo. I think it will work without the elbow(my mistake), with it I'll have to switch downpipes. Hertz and kennedy, PM if you're intersted in selling your backing plate.
Thanks again

Do you mean the flange onto the turbo or turbo onto 1st gen truck? The turbo I'm putting on is from a 2000, but the backing plate I need is from a 94-98. The newer ones, with the elbow I think will work but then I'd have to change my downpipe also.
