Could someone explain what this is and who sells it? Also I see the abreviation of EDM's in some of your signatures. What are EDM's. Would a stage 3 kit be good for heavy towing? How much for the kit? Thanks, as you can see my truck is mostly stock.

 

The High Tech Turbo stage III is a new wheel and scroll housing for the cold side of the turbo. It's purpose is to both move more air for a given amount of fuel and to increase the pressure range that the turbo can operate across without super heating the air. Both these qualities help lower EGTs which is good for towing. Depending on what housing you currently have on the hot side of the turbo (stock is 18 or 21 cm) a change to a 16 or wastegated 12 cm housing will help with EGTs and more to the good, really wake up the truck.

EDM stands for Electro Discharge Machining and is one method for drilling the tiny holes in the ends of the injectors which the fuel travels through. By changing the number of and size of the holes, more or less fuel will be injected.

As for prices, it's been a while since I looked, so someone else will have to help out. HTT has a web site, but you're better off to call them direct. Also. there was another vender offering cold side upgrades, but the name escapes me at the moment. Someone will come along and tell us I'm sure.
