HT3B rebuild?
HT3B rebuild?
what does it take to rebuild a ht3b turbo? is it pretty straight forward just dissassemble, clean, and replace new parts with old? or is some tricks for anything, anything to watch out for, sertain torque specs and such? ive never rebuilt a turbo. thanks for any help.
easy, unless bearings were seized, and scored the surface, the bearing itself is the wearing part, assemble with oil, as for torque, as per thread thickness, 18 lbs for 8mm thread is the norm, 10 for 6mm, im not sure whether the ht3b uses locking tab washers, just get them where they feel nice, knowing not to overtighten, and your good to go.
