how to remove paint from chrome

I have a VGC Dodge Ram hood ornament that someone primered. I have tried a ton of chemicals, but cant get the paint off. I also dont want to mess it up. I dont have a polishing wheel, so do I have any other options?

Thanks!

Try putting brake fuild on it? Shouldn't hurt the plastic, but take off the paint. I hope.

I use GOO-GONE for such occassions, but I would try a test patch out of the way first.
