20 psi at 70 sounds really high. I know you're running a smaller turbo but I only make about 2-3psi at 70 running 37's

20 psi seems high to me too ,I see you have an HE 351,might be it needs adjusting or that it will cool better under higher loads , My hht stage 3 on my 90 runs much cooler when pulling hard and runs warm putting around empty ether way 20 seems high I only see 10 psi @ 70 and thats with a 3 spd auto and 3:07 gearing. bigger Turbos tend to run warmer under light load but the boost should be lower too

Yeah, when I approach a hill I stay much cooler if I go ahead and get the turbo up and stay on top of it. As long as I stay in the throttle I'm good Only time I have issue is when someone in front of me is losing speed in front of me. Once the boost comes back down I just gotta feather it to the top

In fact if i remember correctly i am not even at 20psi with a 10k 5th camper (28ft) behind me at 70. I think 16ish on flat road. This is with stock injectors though so might be different with 5x14's.

Personally i would find a decent long hill and adjust the power screw until you don't go over 1200 at WOT on the hill, this should get you close enough to be able to throttle control the egt's with a load. Make small adjustments when connected to the load as needed on the power screw.

How is your smoke screw, starwheel set? do you have the 3200 spring?

Spin your starwheel up flush to its mounting post.

A stage 2 Snow water/meth kit is what I'd recommend. Im using the smallest injector that came with the kit and it drops the EGT's avg about 100*f -150*f with -20* windsheild washer fluid and with Boost Juice, it lowers the temp about 50*f, but my truck has had a boost problem since rite before I started using Boost Juice so it might work better than that in normal conditions.

Like others said, 1000* pre-turbo is'nt too bad up a grade. Mine will find 1200* unloaded fairly easy.

Just out of curiosity, what happens if exhaust temperatures get too high?

Really no mods are necessary just keep it 1250 or less if it heats up just slow down and down shift til it will maintain temp.
