High idle cables

Ok what are you guys doing for throttle cables. I had a stainless cable and i broke it. would like to keep it in the interior and use the "diesel" pedal so that it doesn't freeze up. Any pics/ideas? I wouldn't need one, but my truck barely idles when it's really cold. Have tried everything.

I ordered a locking throttle control from my jobber a couple of years ago and mounted it under the dash. I simply attached it to the throttle pedal arm as I didn't want to route it through the firewall where it would transmit noise and vibration from the engine. I've been very happy with it. See this thread. I attached a picture in my post there, so it won't allow me to attach it here too. https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/....html?t=261169

Here's how mine is done.

IIRC it's a twisting lock cable from NAPA....

Stillsmokin disected a N/IC high Idle setup and adapted it to his I/C pedal, this does require fab skills, Next time I'm over there I'll snap some pics

could you ever use a hand throttle?, like off a fire truck? as you twist it it increases rpm, and theres a button on top you press and it returns to regular idle. all the firetrucks have them to control engine rpm to run the pumps instead of someone in the truck with their foot on the petal.
