Ok, guys I broke down and took my starter to a starter rebuild place today and if you guys are ever in sulphur springs, texas and need a starter rebuilt then i have a place for you, i went to tri-star and the guy dropped what he was doing got right on my starter and had it fixed in an hour, he rewound the coils on the moter, replaced the brushes, cleaned it up bit and sent me on my merry way all for $100. Anyway I got home put it on the truck and it started like it was brand new again, it appears it was the starter all along. anyway i appreciate yalls help in getting this resolved and working me through the process, i am totally indebted to you guys. thanks so much

 

Good deal, but you should've bought the brushes from him for less than $10 and done it yourself, then stick the rest in your fuel tank and pocket.
