Angry help me quick!!!

i have a race to go to tomarrow and iam leaking oil from the pan i got the engine jacked up the tranny up as high as they will go and i still need a 1/2 in to clear the cross-member how do i get it out

I think you either have to pull the motor or cut out the crossmember and re-weld it back in.

torch the rivets on the crossmember, take it out, when your done bolt it back in.

it requires a substantial amount of weld cutting on the cross member as well. you could not do it with the engine in the bay which makes removing the cross member a moot point, not to mention the time involved in completely dismantling your front suspension and the brake lines that run in between the cross member pieces. i would suggest removing the transmission and lifting the engine higher, be VERY careful when working on the suspended engine. i would want some sort of fail safe in addition to the cherry picker.

it leaks bad i pulled it to find a washer and cant get it backup and stop leaking i replaced the gasket once and silicone still leaks

and it leaks REALY bad and leak = no race

i pulled one on a 98 5.9l and removed the oil pickup when the pan was loose. I already had the motor jacked up, with the pickup gone I was able to slide the oil pan out. Not sure if this works for you though.

i got it it was a ***** tho i never could get it out so i cut the gasket fed it around lots of silicone and 8 hours later no leaks and i kicked *** at my race

If you only need about 1/2 in, removing the motor and trans mounts should get you that with a motor lift and a floor jack on the tranny.

i was running 1/2 throttle @ a 15.8 my buddie has a 07 megacab that likes to get smoked so i cant beat him too bad other wise he will give up hes got Intake, exaust, 120 hp chip its a $62,000 rig and still gets by my $1,200 pos every time we race he goes out to buy more **** to beet me and i guess i should tell him thar i can run 13.2 he thinks i run a 15 flat oh thats the racers rule (when they ask "what you got in there")(you tell them more than i need)(and during a race only beat them by a car length or two)(the sleeper)

my best time was 13.2 a while back i need more air
