Heater control valve

Hi Folks,
I want to put a ball valve in the heater hose, for improved a/c???, next summer.
The inlet to the heater core or pressure side is the valve?
Thanks

I don't think it matters too much which hose you use as long as you stop coolant flow to the exchanger, just grab the one more convenient for controlling the shut-off, ...

This is where the water valve is located from the factory on my 1991 D-350, it is on the left.

This will make your air a lot cooler inside the cab, now you will not be having to cool down 140* incoming air with your evaporator.
