Heading to the Dyno on Friday
#16
The mustang dyno I go on loads the truck hard. I ran my truck on the rollers and the gauges all read the same as a road run. Its not as easy as everyone thinks to make an " easy " 350 horses.

but still hes got 2500-3000 dollars in aftermarket parts on that thing... youd think it would make more than 45 hp over stock (rough estimate)... id assume 300 wouldnt be a problem comparing to other dyno numbers ive seen online.

might be... i wonder sometimes too because the most i can make is 38psi (still a perfect number for my setup) with the wastegate pinched off. but maybe my injectors just need to be honed out a tad to get it up more.
your boost would be quite a bit higher without the m&h spacer, manifold, intercooler and coolertubz but make less power so you need to take that into consideration too.

yeah there is definitely something wrong. I'm making 248hp uncorrected and I haven't even touched the fuel screw and you have WAY more mods than me. And my power seems fairly standard for the mods I have.
And for your mods 1200* seems kinda warm too... maybe you need some serious timing. Or maybe that dyno is wrong.... something is amiss though, that is for certain.

Supposedly it is. I had my brother watch the pump when I put the pedal to the floor and he said it had good travel. I haven't done any of the mods to get more than maximum travel out of it though.

wow those do sound off. When i dynoed, they only loaded me at 20% and other guys got loaded at 40% and 50%. Maybe they didn't give you any load.
Were you drivin it on the dyno or them?

well thats probably part of the problem. Maybe they didn't open it up all the way. I don't like to let people drive my truck, especially during a dyno situation. I am the most familiar with it and know what to do and when to do it.

It might be awhile. I want to replace the IP with the PDR IP that I still have (if it doesn't sell) I also want to get a FP gauge hooked up to see if it's getting good fuel, and perhaps I should get one of those longer fuel filters as well.
I also want to try pinching off the hose to the wastegate to see if I can get near 40 psi. It should be ok for the headgasket, and it is still in the sweet part of this turbos compressor map.

I'm starting to think the guy saw the 1200* and didn't push through it... i know with my truck the temp climbs then starts to fall rapidly after the turbo starts really spooling.
