They usually recommend that if yer turbo has some hours on it, you go ahead and throw a rebuild kit in it at the same time.
Check out the writeup in ths link. It looks like he's removing the 54mm off the shaft and replacing it with the 60mm onto the same shaft.

The 60mm upgrade uses the same (stock) shaft, the wheel and the comp housing are replaced.

I haven't seen your setup, but in my van I used an 03 exhaust manifold so that my turbo was tucked into the block, I had to move the transmission cooler, but it made all the difference on room.
(also exhaust wrap makes a big difference for spool up and under hood temps)

03 exhaust manifold . . . Great info, I'll have to look into it. I have a huge alternator (Delco 28SI), how's your intake air duct fit over the alternator with the manifold mod? Here's an old/outdated photo.

Getting rid of the accordian style intake hose for a mendrel bent pipe may help slightly as well.

My truck dynoed at 393hp with my setup. I am running the housing and 60mm upgrade. I tow my landcaping trailer everyday (5000 lbs) and don't have an issue with egts as long as I am not going to slow and in OD. I have been running 40+psi out of mine for over 5 years with no issues.

I would be interested in what is in your set-up other than the 60 mm upgraded housing, but I don't see your signature filled out..
What are you running?
What sized exhaust housing?

Strange, I don't know what happened to my signinture.

Anyways, I have 5x14 injector, 3200 rpm spring, homemade fuel pin, piston lift pump, bigger fuel lines, timing advanced a tooth and then to the head, fully built goerend 47rh, BHAF, 4" exhaust, stock 18cm exhaust housing. Nothing crazy but it makes it a fun truck.

I like your dyno numbers!

In your 47RH torque converter, do you have a single disc lockup clutch or triple?

And how do you manage the smoke using 5x14.
Edit: I see u have dual 5" stacks :-)

Triple disc converter. I have a single exit 4" exhaust now but as long as your easy on the skinny pedal the smoke is not bad.

I don't think you can be real easy on the pedal in an 11000# motorhome, just saying.

I have a combined weight of ~13000 when i pull my camper and i have enough smoke with stock injectors and my he351cw when i am heavy on it up a hill.

I have some 5x14's but that is when i step up to compounds.

I have my fuel screw (collar removed) all the way in, the starwheel all the way down, and the smoke screw 2 turns pushing the fuel pin down at idle AND I cannot make it smoke, for some reason.
